waterHydration

We could go on and on about the benefits of water and the importance of staying well-hydrated. It’s widely known that 8 glasses of water is optimal, but we encourage you to work in at least half your weight in fluids. That means: if you weight 200 pounds, drink 100 ounces of fluids. Sound like a lot? It is. That’s 12 ½ cups of fluid. But remember, that is total fluid intake. You can include the water you add to your shakes as well as your morning coffee and other things you drink.

Water is best, but you can also drink non-caloric glasses of tea (think green) and diet soda. Or consider bouillon, a tasty and comforting drink.

Snacks

Ok, ok – sometimes you just need to chew. So choose celery or eat a couple of small dill pickles. Sugar free gum is a great option – so chew away!
